MISSION PANEL STUDIO / CYNICAL GREED
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes Mission Panel Studio (MPS), the desktop streaming companion provided by Cynical Greed in Wyoming, United States. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or requests. Website browsing and comments are covered separately by the website privacy notice.
Information used by MPS
MPS uses the settings and content you enter to configure overlays, audience prompts, OBS controls, and automations. Information displayed in an overlay can become public when you include that overlay in a broadcast or recording. Connected services receive requests needed for the features you enable and may process your network address and connection information.
Current TikTok public-profile statistics
The current TikTok statistics feature requests the public profile for a username you configure. It reads aggregate follower and profile-like counts. It saves the username, last confirmed counts, verification and attempt times, lookup error text, goal, and refresh settings in a local JSON file on your computer. The last confirmed counts remain available during lookup failures.
This feature does not require your TikTok password, cookies, or TikTok login tokens. Its lookup runs from your computer directly to TikTok; the statistics module does not send these records to a Cynical Greed server. TikTok processes these requests under its own privacy policy. The feature is not official TikTok OAuth authorization.
Planned official TikTok integration
Official TikTok account authorization is in development. The proposed integration would, with creator permission and approved scopes, retrieve profile identity and aggregate follower, following, profile-like, and video counts for stream counters and follower-goal overlays. It is not currently activated by the registration draft. This policy will be updated with the implemented permissions, token storage, recipients, and retention before that integration is made available. It does not currently authorize collection of private messages, comments, LIVE events, or video publishing through a future integration.
Sharing and your broadcasts
The current TikTok statistics module uses the information to retrieve and display the counters you configure; it has no sale or advertising-sharing function. If you broadcast an overlay, the displayed information is shared with your streaming platform and viewers. Third-party platforms process information under their own policies. See TikTok's Privacy Policy.
Local retention and deletion
Saved TikTok statistics and settings remain on your computer until replaced or removed. Disabling lookups stops automatic refreshes but does not erase saved records. To delete those records, close MPS and remove its local tiktok_profile_stats_*.json data file and any copies or backups you maintain. Reopening MPS may create a new default settings file. Changing the configured username clears the previous cached counts.
Support and privacy requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond and resolve your request and retain it only as needed for that purpose or legal obligations. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or other secrets. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. We cannot directly delete files held only on your computer or copies already distributed in a broadcast.
Security and children
Protect your computer, credentials, and backups, and share only information you intend to make public. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. MPS is intended for creators eligible to use the connected services and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
Policy updates
We will update this page as MPS features and data practices change and revise the date above. Review this policy before enabling new integrations. The MPS Terms of Service describe use of the application.
